BoGa Pictures: Blooms Offer Gorgeous Accents

How It All Began

"In early 2020, I started painting with acrylics and experimenting with colors. One person consistently admired my paintings and asked for a custom piece: two bright and beautiful sunflowers, side by side, symbolizing our relationship. I made that picture for her, for us. When I handed her the sunflower painting, her eyes lit up and she hugged me tightly, saying it was the most beautiful gift she had ever received. She proudly displayed the artwork in her home. She continually encouraged me to transform my creative pursuits into a business, recognizing my growing interest in flower photography. Before she passed, she expressed her wish for me to pursue this dream. In honor of her request, I established BoGa Pictures, LLC beginning with a series of sunflower photographs dedicated to her memory. Her unwavering support gave me confidence, and her memory continues to inspire every photograph I take. It is my sincere hope that these floral pictures will bring as much joy to others as they did to her, my mom, who I loved and cherished."

January 22, 2010 – July 6, 2025

Thirteen beautiful years of love — that’s what you gave us, sweet Penny.

Rescued at just two years old by our daughter, Brittany, with help from her friend Cortney, you came from a life that didn’t quite fit. But within weeks, you opened your heart — and in return, filled ours.

You started your journey in Pennsylvania and wandered far — to Texas, Kansas, and even Maine — before finding your way back to Connecticut. Through every move, you brought comfort, companionship, and joy.

While Brittany was away at vet school, you became Uncle Shane, Grammy, Pappy, and Mam's beloved companion, and a treasured part of our entire family.

We’ll forever cherish:

Our walks and hikes together

Splashing in rivers

Chasing squirrels

Dodging crowds (you were never one for strangers — but you did make a few special friends)

And even in the years you shared your space with a family of cats — with occasional snuggles or two, and of course, we’ll never forget how much you loved Mam’s crackers — and how much she loved you back. She always said you were the best dog. She was absolutely right!

We’re heartbroken to say goodbye, but thankful you’re no longer in pain.

Thank you for the laughter, the love, the comfort, and the loyalty.

Thirteen years with you was never long enough. But every moment was a gift.

We love you always, Penny. ❤️
